Please Don’t Forget Your Kids’ Awana Leaders

November means the holiday season is under way. There’s no denying that this is a busy time of year.

It’s easy to feel overwhelmed with everything that needs to be done.

You have to make cookies for a bake sale, shop for gifts, make holiday travel plans. Here’s a helpful reminder, don’t forget to thank your kids’ Awana leaders this season.

One of my favorite parts of my job is meeting Awana volunteer leaders all over the US. I’m consistently impressed with the heart these leaders have for your kids. They give up time and energy to serve your family. It would be so valuable to them to hear from you this holiday season.

Take a couple minutes before Thanksgiving and chat with your child about their leaders. What do they like about their leader? What is one positive thing they have noticed about their leader? Any specific stories or memories they can tell you about their leader?

Write a note or have a quick conversation with the leaders and tell them specifically what your family appreciates about them. The personal touch to your thank you will mean the world to them.
